French Cucumber Salad

This French Cucumber Salad with Marjoram essential oil is healthy, refreshing, and bursting with wholesome, delicious flavors.

Ingredients:

1 avocado, sliced

1 tomato, diced

1/2 red onion, sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 toothpick Marjoram essential oil


Instructions:

Combine avocado, tomato, red onion, and cucumber in a bowl. Set aside. Pour olive oil into another small bowl, mix in toothpick dipped in Marjoram essential oil. Combine olive oil mixture and vegetables. Add lemon juice and stir. Top off with salt and serve immediately. 

Easy summer salad, serves 1 - 2 as a side or one for a quick meal on a hot night!

When using essential oils in recipes, it's always best to start with a teensy bit - hence the majoram on a toothpick, you'll be amazed at how much flavor that gives, always best to start with less and add more if needed. So just dip a toothpick into the top of your essential oil bottle.
What other oils would go nicely with this salad? Maybe some Thyme or Basil. Don't have the essential oils swap oils for 1/2 teaspoon of dried herbs or 1 teaspoon of fresh.
